.I.S.I.C.A.In 1932 the Ministry of English Agriculture founded the W.I.S.I.C.A. (West London Sea Island Cotton Association) so as to be able to control the quality and quantity of the cotton produced.
W.I.S.I.C.A. provides not only to certify the origin and the standard of the quality of the raw material first, but to establish the criteria of all the phases of production: from the seeding to the collection of cotton, to the spinning, to the weaving, to the refinement and the manufacturing. Only through rigid and qualified analysis of the raw materials, of the semi-worked, of the product and all those productive processes, is given the certificate to utilize the label WISICA.
